AZIENDA AGRICOLA IL BAFARDEL

We are a family that made the choice to move to the mountains where our grandparents’ lands and origins are.

It is right in the heart of the Parco dei Cento Laghi that the farm Il Bafardel was born, with the desire to tell the story of the area through our products: honey from Apennine blooms, jams of small cultivated and wild fruits and saffron.

All production is strictly km 0 and completely natural.

PRODUCTS

Mountain honey

is produced in different locations exclusively in the Apennine area between Monte Caio and the Parco dei Cento Laghi from 600 to 1200m asl.
The hives are moved to follow the blooms of the area, obtaining, with an organic footprint method, monofloral honeys (Acacia, Dandelion, Chestnut) and different types of Millefiori.

Extra jams of small fruits

The raw material used is cultivated, using an all-natural method, in the Cedra Valley or harvested in the wild.
The fruit is processed into extra jams, adopting a method that involves short cooking so as to preserve the freshness and flavor of the fruit.
The finished products never contain any thickeners or coloring agents, just fruit and little sugar, with the goal of conveying the feeling of fresh mountain fruits.

Saffron

Cultivated on the slopes of Mt. Caio, the spice obtained is of the highest certified quality.
From the beautiful purple crocuses, patiently and strictly hand-picked and skimmed, the purest stigmas are obtained and dried on the same day as harvesting.
The choice to offer saffron in stigmas and not in powder form is to demonstrate the purity of the spice.
