A chestnut grove, a fruit, its flower... a bee is attracted by the scent, falls in love with it, and a honey is born... a honey that tells the story of the territory.An experiential excursion, full of discoveries, scents, and colors.

From Valditacca with the GAE Guide Monica we will meet “Mimmi” the beekeeper of theAzienda Agricola Il Bafardel which will accompany us towards Trefiumi, We'll journey through flowery meadows and shady woods, peer into the apiaries nestled in the flowering chestnut groves, smell the intoxicating scents of the hive, touch the wax combs, taste the new honey, and put ourselves in the shoes of a true beekeeper.
The scent of chestnut blossoms will accompany us along the Frazioni trail, an easy walk suitable for everyone thanks to its minimal elevation gain of just 50 meters.

During the excursion, we will learn about the chestnut forest and discover how important this tree was in the past.
If you want to spend a Saturday in July in Val Cedra, come on this simple excursion.

Total elevation changes: positive between going and coming back about 100 meters, all doable for anyone adults, children, families and friends
Degree of difficulty: easy
Required and mandatory equipment: Backpack with a snack, at least a 1-liter recyclable water bottle, hat, mosquito and tick spray, and hiking boots.
Dogs on a leash are allowed.

There are fountains along the route; I recommend bringing at least half a liter of water in a recyclable bottle—a small, conscious gesture to protect the environment.
The Guide reserves the right to cancel the excursion 24 hours before the activity if the minimum number of participants is not reached.
All itineraries may be modified based on weather conditions for the safety of the group. The guide reserves the right to refuse participants who are not adequately equipped.
The guide is covered by third-party liability insurance as required by law; accident coverage is not provided for participants. Those who wish may purchase a multi-sport insurance policy themselves.

Along the way, several exploratory and cognitive moments await us. thanks to Mimmi who will accompany us along our journey to immerse ourselves in the fascinating world of bees for discover the importance of these small, hard-working pollinators.

The day can only end on a sweet note... to the delight of all palates, we'll move to the Ostaria dl'Andrea, in Trincera, to enjoy a narrated dinner featuring honey.
Each course will be accompanied by a description of the organoleptic characteristics and the connection to the local area of ​​the honey used.

* Parmigiano Reggiano 12 months with dandelion honey, penetrating and floral.
* Parmigiano Reggiano 24 months with acacia honey, elegant and harmonious.
* Parmigiano Reggiano 30 months with chestnut honey, intense and persistent.

Potato and leek tortelli, seasoned with melted butter and toasted walnuts, finished with a delicate acacia honey garnish.
