Located just a minute from the center of Monchio delle Corti, on the provincial road leading to Rigoso, is Ostaria Dl’Andrea.
Founded in 1943 by Tinin and his wife Andrea, it has always presented an important gathering place for the townspeople.
In 1988 Paola and Gian (grandson of the founders) took over the reins of the restaurant, which they have skillfully enhanced with some features that make it unique: Paola, with her cooking skills, has made the osteria’s cuisine one of her strong points while Gian, with his homemade ice cream (unique in the entire municipality), has made his establishment unparalleled. For the past few years his daughter Giulia has joined the management of the restaurant, whose entrepreneurial skills have brought added value to the tavern by investing in the wine cellar, as well as on her personal training as a subject matter expert. In fact, they boast an important wine list, not typically tavern-like, but more like a wine shop. Another strength of the restaurant is the summer garden, ideal for a Sunday lunch in contact with nature and perfect for hosting events such as baptisms or weddings.
THE KITCHEN.
We offer typical Parmesan cuisine, trying never to miss a pinch of innovation.
We boast a fair amount of choice on the menu, from appetizers to desserts.
In keeping with our Emilian culinary tradition, we pay particular attention to the choice of our cured meats, characterized mostly by 0-kilometer products such as Ponte Romano raw ham, excellence of the prosciuttificio of the same name located in Ponte Romano in Corniglio.
We devote just as much attention to researching other native foods that you will find with us, such as the superb organic, brown-only Parmigiano Reggiano cheese from Az. Local farm “La Gesa” located in Trevignano, as well as salmon rainbow trout fillet from Az. Agricola ‘Al Fusinaro’ located a few meters from our restaurant.
Another strong point of our restaurant: the homemade pasta made by Paola’s skilled hands, for the preparation of tortelli, cappelletti and much more.
